Texan Title announced today that it has completed the acquisition of a majority interest in Lawyers Title Company of Brazos County, bringing the respected Brazos County title company into the growing Texan family.

As part of the transaction, Walter Campbell, Jay Don Watson, Trey Malechek, Joseph Briers and Paul Dyson will remain minority shareholders and continue their involvement with the company.

While Lawyers Title Company of Brazos County will begin operating under the Texan name, clients, real estate professionals, lenders and community partners can expect continuity where it matters most. The same local team will continue handling transactions with the experience, personal attention and care that clients have come to know and trust.

“This is an exciting opportunity to bring together two organizations that share a strong commitment to their clients, their people and the communities they serve,” said Patrick F. Doyle, CEO of Texan Title. “Lawyers Title has built trusted relationships throughout the Brazos Valley, and our goal is to build upon that foundation—not change what has made it successful.”

The acquisition expands Texan Title’s presence in the Brazos Valley while reinforcing the company’s strategy of pairing strong local leadership and market expertise with the resources, technology and support of a growing statewide title company.

“Joining Texan Title gives us the opportunity to continue serving our clients with the same people and local expertise they know while gaining the additional resources of a larger Texas organization,” said Jay Don Watson. “Our relationships with our customers and this community remain at the heart of what we do.”

Clients should expect a seamless transition as the company begins operating under the Texan brand. The people behind the transactions, the local knowledge and the commitment to exceptional service will remain firmly in place.

The acquisition comes as Texan Title continues expanding and unifying its presence across Texas, bringing established local title companies together under one recognizable statewide brand while preserving the relationships and community connections that made those companies successful.
