Texan Title Insurance Company is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike Karger as Underwriting Counsel. Mike brings nearly 50 years of industry experience and a proven track record of success in underwriting and risk management.
In this role, Mike will bolster an already stellar underwriting department including Mark Baldwin and Bruce Goldston. He will work closely with all agents that represent TTIC to assist them with their underwriting and risk management needs.

Mike holds a degree in History and received his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law. He began his title career in 1976 as an examiner before opening his own practice in 1980. In 1992, after 12 years of practicing law, the title industry lured him back as underwriting counsel. He is a father of two and a grandfather of four and when he isn’t serving the underwriting needs of our agents, he is hunting and birdwatching on his land in Atascosa County.
